The goals of CJNDG are to ensure that every child is treated equally and can enjoy a safe fun-filled summer being active, creative, and learning new things. CJNDG takes advantage of the many services and parks available in the borough and strives to have services that respond to the needs of the local NDG youth population.
WHAT SETS US APART
CJNDG delights in children and in keeping them safe, happy, and engaged in the world around them. The staff are certified in first aid, carry first aid kits and emergency numbers. They also complete courses in animation and leadership or are studying in child-related fields at CEGEP and university. They wear T-shirts with “Responsable” written on the back for easy identification.
Within the parks and around the city of Montreal, the children are surrounded by other campers and caring, well-trained monitors. For outings, the City of Montreal recommends ratios of 1:15 for 6 to 12 years old, and 1:8 for 4 to 5 years old.
CJNDG works in cooperation with the Ville de Montréal to provide camp services.
